Draft position selection

When will draft positions be selected? Can you give me a specific time I will be out of town next week. Also, when will league assignments be available? Will these all be done at the same time?

Is there a deadline? What if the event does not fill up until the Friday before?

Draft position selection

For Last Year's contest, we found out our draft slot on the Saturday before the main event. It helps somewhat to know one's draft position, as it helps to determine who we may end up with in the first round, and then be able to devise a game plan. However, the best laid plans do seem to always change, so maybe it's 1/2 a dozen of one and 6 of another.

See you in Vegas!

Hi Top Dawg. Stay away from Ricky Williams and T.O. this time. ie. No drafting Clemens or Bonds for you.

On this topic the issue is Mock drafts. If you know your draft position you can participate in Mock drafts to get a feel for thge players available at certain spots. If we don't find out draft positions until next week forcasting a team will be much harder.

That's true, but I just did a Mock Draft Central 15 team "Mock Draft" a few days ago followed by 2 $100 NFBC Satellite league "real drafts". Not even close if you ask me. The Mocks are full of guys who either show up for 1-3 rounds or not at all. Computer selections are never what a real drafter would take at the given moment of the draft. I don't think they are going to tell you much beyond who the first 5 players drafted are going to be.

Honestly, i think it is WAY over rated this draft position knowledge before draft time. I mean so you know basically your first 2 picks (but even those can change as you start to get to the end of the first round). Big Deal. Draft strategy must ALWAYS change during the draft depending on who is available, what you picked, what others have picked, etc... etc...

Just me 2 cents on this. Give me FAAB bidding for Draft Position - that is the fairest way to play this game!!!

Hi Spy.

It has been proven to win you need to draft the best available player at a pre-determined position by position plan (Based on your draft order) not the best available player at any position.

To answer your initial question, my money says sometime Monday afternoon at about 1pm EST. Just a hunch.
