Mulder hits one. John Thompson brags he will get two hits in his start and damn if he don't do it including something like a two-run double (and I am not talking a seeing-eye flair of a double...it was a shot!)!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I would love to include hitting stats of nl pitchers when they pitch. I figure if u play and produce stats that the game uses u should collect them. but I am sure this will never happen....

It is always nice to dream when your pitcher hits a homer etc.. The terrible average you would ultimately derive from your NL pitchers in general might actually help offset the "unfairness" experienced by AL pitchers who face the DH, however I'm not sure if it would end up being a close offset. It would be interesting to see the difference on your team BA of an average NL pitchers batting stats, measured against the negative impact on your team of the AL/NL differential in ERA, WHIP & Ks.

For every Dontrelle Willis, Bronson Arroyo or Jason Marquis, there's a Pedro Martinez or Randy Johnson at the plate. I say leave well enough alone. I can't imagine watching Pedro go through the motions with a bat in his hand while I desparately need a hit of some sort.

What I was sayong is that u can use them as dh,,, not pitching stats,,it could help out if none of your reserves are hitters and u need an emergency hitter
