P Al Reyes TB R30 P5 In my opinion that team is pretty bad- I do not like 4 of your first five picks relative to where you took them. 1b is not exactly a position you want to be a black hole. Your catchers have to be among the weakest in the league, you do not have anything resembling a number one closer and risk struggling in saves, you have terrible injury risk at the front of the rotation, a serious possible void in the back of your rotation, possible speed issues if Patterson somehow does not steal 40, and with Patterson and Hall picked so early batting avg could be an issue too- lots of other batting average risk.

What did I like? What you did at 3b- one of those guys will stick and help you a lot, maybe two which you will need with an open corner infield slot.

I will end with my usual disclaimer- this is one man's opinion, and if I am correct I would rather you hear it now than after the main event.

After a second look I do not think stolen bases will be an issue, you have some guys with upside there.

Chest, thanks for your opinion, its always appreciated, and couldnt disagree more. Love getting Holliday at 2,5 and his first round value. Giddy about MI. If healthy (huge if) I love my top 3 starters. Not overly concerned with saves because that can be addressed in FAAB. As you say, just one mans opinion :))

i think you put together a solid base 1-4. The Draft picks 11 thru 15 can make it difficult to continue building out the offense in rds 3 and 4 if none of the top 35 offensive players fall to you. Hitters may feel like reaches at that point but you have to grab someone.

Q, was really happy to snap up Roberts and Hall to fill out my MI with plenty of power and speed. Patterson might have been a reach late in round 5 but he could be 20-40, so I thought he was worth the "reach"

But he's still in his comfort zone from last season - green light/hitting lower in order. So he sits some against tough lefties... you dont want his 0-4's against Santana and Kazmir anyway.

We picked in the number 8 hole for $1000 League for 3/6/07

Wanted Utley went 5th and being a Phillies fan we passed on Howard-(this was really hard but used our heads not heart--I sat and talked with him for a few mintues last year during lunch in a subway store in center city Phila., he was by himself--fine youing man :D )-went 9th---looking for 5 tool player in 1st round.

Avoid injury bug with Viquel and Mora and Flyer on Steriod-oops Sammy Sosa in round 28 and hope to add "OF" FAAB. Wanted R. Winn in 17 but drafted right before for extra help in SB late.

Couple starters went right before our pick that we wanted.

Closer run a couple of times and the releif pitcher teams took set up man in mid rounds.

Comment 2Teams went with most if not all relief pitchers---real close to 600 IP

Ilike the team nad feel we can be in the top third of most catergories.

Welcome comments---good prep for Main Event on 3/17

Fireballs - big risks with Sheets and Harden, too many injury issues to rely on them as 1 and 2 starters, if healthy they are studs, but they have to be healthy first. You can 7 guys on your roster w/less than 1 year MLB experience, very risky to go along with Sheets and Harden. If they all play up to their hype, you can be in the money, but if a couple fall short, you will be chasing all year. C and 1B are horrible, need a quality 1B in these drafts, the rest of the pitching staffs ERA is going to br 4.5 plus

Philly - passed on Howard at the number 8 spot, you probably will not see another draft that he is still there at 8. A 1B of his caliber can only be found in about 5 teams. Should not have passed on him. Hopefully you will never have to use Biggio, Mora or Feliz, there BA will just kill you. OF is pretty week. I absolutely love the SP, I think Hudson, Jennings adn James will suprise alot where they are available. Both closer are over 35 and no guarantees to last the entire year. Should have picked at least one closer that is a lock to close all year, taking these 2 you could have 70 saves or 10 saves, if they faulter early

I cant believe you passed up Howard for Wright.I dont care about his twenty steals ,you can pick them up later.

Howard's 2nd half numbers 31 homers and 81 rbi's witha 339 bavg. THAT IS A MONSTER

Wright's 2nd half numbers 8 homers 52 rbi's and a 293 bavg.THAT IS A SQUIRT GUN.

Howard is a freak , you get the bavg to go with the BABE RUTH POWER NUMBERS.

Nothing worse than having owners taking the full amount of time on all of their picks, especially at the end and beginning of each round.

Unbelieveable job done by Mock Draft Central. Anytime there is a problem, they are there to help. I don't know how they did it. I paid $1000 to draft and I had a hard time following it.

Vander, it is the kiss of death. Everytime someone says, Great Pick. I used to love it when other owners said great pick Kimo. Now, I just get worried when I hear it. But thanks for the comment.

How in the hell am I going to get through the 45 man draft? That is going to take, like 10 hours.

Tom says I can get a partner. I am taking applications for a partner for the 45 man draft. No way can I last.

Also, I never shoveled snow in my life. Thats the mock draft message board comments, shoveling snow. Damn, you guys are going to be in good physical shape when I see you guys in Vegas.

See everyone soon.

I think you are in a lot of trouble with this one, you have nothing up the middle, Cano at 2B, you have to use Sanchez at SS and you have no backups in the middle, the OF has a lot to live up to. Pitching is a mess after the first 3 starters and only 1 closer. Looks to be a bottom 5 team, sorry

I actually ran some numbers and it is not as bad as I thought, average and steals are ok and ERA and K's are 3rd - 5th. So it looks like 7th thru 10th place team. You are still hurting in R, HR and RBI's big time

Looks to be a bottom 5 team, sorry I do not see how you could call that pitching a mess- first thing those first 3 starters should buy you some insurance, but Snell and Escobar are more than adequate back of the rotation guys. He may not have a 2nd closer but he does have some relievers that he can start and not hurt himself.

I like that team a lot better than your last one-

Bobby J, thanks for your thoughts but my pitching is a mess??? Carpenter, Hamels and Haren are a mess??? Escobar and Snell arent a solid fourth ansd fifth option?? Id be glad to bet you $1 that I finish a helluva lot higher than 7th to 10th. Also, Cano and Sanchez are a lousy MI combo?? Hows that. Also, I think you were in the league last night as well (if not, my bad) but what do you think of your squad? How does Lackey, Myers and Lowe stack up to Carpenter/Hamels/Haren? Millwood and Helmslwey as 4/5 starters?

Thanks Chest. Im really, really happy about the staff. Had no intention of taking a pitcher high but Carpenter fell ito my lap at 4.5. Haren also fell to me, when I drafted him. Since I didnt think steals were necessary from my MI I was pleased to get Cano/Sanchez. Should get over 1000 AB's from them and a .320 BA. Little worried about power but if Jacobs and A Gonzo can come through I should be okay. Only 1 closer but some of the best setup guys that can possibly vulture saves
