Only one closer is a problem, but an otherwise solid-looking starting lineup. Bench does look fairly worthless - you'll probably have only have 2 of your bench players left by week 4.

Other than the bench, I think you drafted a great team.

I think the person drafting out of the 6th slot did a much better job. ;)

I am flattered by all the praise, but I seem to remember that pitchers can be quite fickle, and destroy a team. Although I made PLENTY of mistakes, I am OK with the final results.

Eddie,, not sure exactly what you meant by "if you really drafted this team", as I was the only one here!

bily - your team is better than some of the nfbc vets teams that i've seen. although you have some players that i don't want on my teams, other owners seem to like them. good job on ramping up your baseball skills. like eddie said, you should consider the main event next year, cause if this was your first draft in 13 years, you have a GREAT foundation to build upon.

We will see how it goes Gekko, and if I win this league (longshot at best), then I WILL be at the Main Event next year! :D

Who WOULDN'T you want on your team? If you want to PM me, to not let out an info on the boards, that is cool.

I know I made MANY mistakes, but I am just curious.

From the league grapevine, I heard that Rob Benetti fell asleep somewhere around Round 22 Round 22? I was out of contention in this league after round 6. This was probably my first and last baseball draft as I now remember why I stopped playing sometime around 1999.

Here is a team that has a shot at 13th:

C- AJ Pierzynski (14)

C- Michael Napoli (18)

1B- Konerko (3)

2B- Cano (4)

SS- Jeter (2)

3B- Zimmerman (5)

MI- Esteban German (20)

CI- Akinori Iwamura (12)

OF- Sizemore (1.14)

OF- Raul Ibanez (9)

OF- Chris Burke (15)

OF- Emil Brown (21)

OF- Nelson Cruz (16)

UT- Big Skirt (11)

SP- Lackey (6)

SP- Jered Weaver (8)

SP- Randy Johnson (10)

SP- Boof (17)

SP- Lieber (28)

RP- Lidge (7)

RP- Otsuka (13)

RP- Howry (19)

RP- Rafael Soriano (22)

BENCH

OF- Geoff Jenkins (23)

OF- Melky (25)

OF- Jose Bautista (29)

1B- Kendry Morales (30)

SP- Pedro (24)

2B- Nick Punto (26)

C- Toby Hall (27)

Should my team name be:

1) Team Swiss Chz because of all the holes in the lineup

or

2) Team Joker for all of the question marks?

Oh yeah, you guys weren't kidding when you said there were no breaks! I thought you were friggin joking. I kept waiting for that break to come so I could try and regroup but no.......

I guess I should have either mocked several times for the practice or gone with my instinct and have a friend draft the team. ;)
