Who has decided to enter the NFBC and where?

You can't have one of these message boards without the proverbial question;

Who has decided to join and where are you going to enter?

Leaderboard Sports has entered and will be in Vegas at the Rio and entered both the Big One and the NL auction.

Who else? Let's get this thing reved up.

I have absolutely no intention of winning the grand prize, I intend to merely win my league.

I must not be very good at this game - you know, since I haven't staked claim to the grand prize already and all ;)

See you there - I'll be the Michigander with no tan.

Looks like a good start.

I'll be the balding, middle aged, overweight guy in a ballcap. You can't miss me.

Wait, you don't think there will be other balding overweight guys there do you?

I know a lot of the industry "names" don't want to draw attention to themselves because that stupid term "experts" has gotten way out of hand. But I can tell you that I know we'll have great representation from the people who make a living out of writing about fantasy sports. Those who either have officially signed up or will be soon include:

Korey Gardner, RotoPlay.com

Nate Ravitz, RotoTimes.com

Gene McCaffrey, Wise Guy Baseball (multiple teams)

BaseballHQ.com (likely multiple teams)

RotoWorld.com (possibly multiple teams)

CreativeSports.com (team in each city)

Todd Zola, Mastersball.com

There will be others, but I'll leave it at that for now. I'm not posting this to draw attention to those guys or to make them targets, I just knew they wouldn't want to follow with the smack about winning. But we'll have over 100 industry executives in Las Vegas the two days prior to the NFBC for our Fantasy Sports Trade Conference and I know that many of them are already planning to compete there. There's no question the competition will be unprecedented in the fantasy baseball industry, so may the best manager win.

1. I'm always curious to see if they follow their own cheatsheets that they sell.

2. I'm always intrigued to watch them do crazy-damn things because they feel like they need to do something exceptional to stake their claim.

3. It's funny to see from the low end to the high end how much they pimp their own sites ;)

Oh, and I should add...

THEY SHOULD pimp their own sites - that's how they make a living!

Thankfully I'm just an addicted hobbyist and I make my living elsewhere ;)

I'm paid for Saturday in Vegas.

And I'm already consulting my psychic on picks, she thinks Bonds will have a Barry Barry good year.

Gordon Gekko has decided to join this event. It sounds like a lot of "experts" will be joining me. These "experts" have virtually unlimited baseball resources at their disposal. I, on the other hand, haven't even begun to do any research. I'm what you call "dead money". I usually just go off the ESPN early season rankings. Hope that's enough.

The nice thing about fantasy sports is that you don't have to be a "rocket scientist" to win. Looking forward to the NL Auction and the Big One on Saturday in Vegas.

It looks like I'll be signing up for the draft in NYC. It appears only a few are going to be there. Anyone else heading to the Big Apple for the draft?

I hope to have a number of staff members drafting in NYC. Maybe we could have a few drinks at Blondies and talk strategy?
