DL switching; Main Event

I have a player that went on the DL on Tuesday. His position is OF. I do have a player elgible to play OF on my bench....but I would rather play a different player. My current utility player is elgible for OF.

Can I bench the guy on the DL; switch my current utility player to OF; and then insert a player on my bench to utility for Friday-Sunday?
