Pretty solid in my opinion. Taking Bruce 5th overall was a bit high it seems, but he will be good.

Solid. Nice balance. Nice job getting Greg to back up Marmol. Fe Lopez, Rasmus could be steals. Good luck.

when you wait until the 24th pick to nab your 5th starter you are going to have some pitching problems

Your OF scares the hell out of me.

Ianetta in the 8th instead of a stud OF

and rushing to fill your Util spot with Tejada in the 12th seem like the biggest 'wrong' picks for this squad. 2 strong OF then using your 15th and 20th picks for a catcher and a util and you improve this team by quite a bit.

LaPorta, Gardner and Rasmus are all candidates to have no job or split a position.. hardly the best way to build stats ):

I like the Cordero and Gregg picks and I'm banking on Zambrano to come through so rooting for him too.

It could work - Gardner wins starting job, becomes the next Ellsbury, etc... but with so many question marks, even when a few pan out, you will be trying to fill both OF, Util, and SP gaps. Again, could work but will take lots of close management

Good luck!

C Iannetta (8)

C Shoppach (17)

1B D. Lee (7) We can both root him on together

2B Uggla (6)

SS Reyes (1)

3B Ar. Ramirez (2) I don't understand why everyone takes him in the 2nd/3rd. He consistently never does better than 4th/5th round production IMHO

MI Fe. Lopez(18) Nice upsides from the 18th

CI Crede (22) Mr risky

U Tejada (12) Who knows? but in the 12th there were others I would have rather had than Tejada

OF Bruce (5) upside but some slump risk

OF Maybin (13) Fingers crossed

OF Mi. Bradley (15) Again, fingers crossed

OF Dav. Murphy (20) I like Murphy but combined with other OF, you needed 1-2 more stable guys (see Manny comment above). I think Andre Either would have been a nice pick at some point

OF Gardner (21) I love him in the 21st or later and was mad you took him here. We wanted him!

P Sabathia (3) Why not take Manny at the top of the 3rd here?

P Halladay (4)

P Zambrano (11)

P Wang (14)

P Lannan (24) After Wang big drop off. If Wang struggles....

P Hochevar (28) Does he show the talent he showed in the Minors? If he does, nice pick, but I would watch closely

P Capps (9)

P Marmol (10)

P Sherrill (16) Needed to box with Ray, but lots of potential closers so not that big a deal

B K. Gregg (19) You killed us by taking him, we wanted him

B Je. Lewis (25) (see comment on Gregg)

B C. Cordero (27)

B M. LaPorta (23)

B C. Rasmus (26) Good to have multiple OF back up plans if the OF doesn't pan out

B N. Morgan (29)

B T. Ishigawa (30) Since I am stuck here at LaGuardia, and I was in the same league, here are a couple of extra thoughts. You had the same priviledge that I did last year - sitting right next to Quahogs!

I was in the phone league, was tough early but finished in 4.5 hours. Picked 12th and would have like to have gotten another solid starter:

Shoppach

Navarro

Loney

Utley

Hardy

Sandoval/Crede

Uggla

Beltran

Ellsbury

Quentin

Crisp

Matsui

Sheffield

Felix Hernandez

Burnett

Pelfrey

Scherzer

Jiminez

Wood

B. Wilson

Ray

Soriano

Pedro

Cahill

Porcello

K. Escobar

Colon

Freel

Hoping to catch some lightning with my bench starters and FAAB

You were incredibly lucky to get Gregg in the 19th round to pair with Marmol. He went in the 10 - yes, 10th - in our league. While that is probably way too early, somewhere between the 10th and 19th is not.

There is no way I would have let you get Gregg in the 19th. I think he will close. I'd have picked him before that.

You must be talking about a Chicago league. I got him in round 21 in NY.

I was fortunate that he was still there at 19, and almost pulled the trigger a few rounds earlier.

I originally had Tejada in the MI position and viewed him as a suitable back up at SS with a potential shift to 3B and CI this year. He fell into the Utility role which I can live with for now.

I realize my team's question marks especially in the OF, but overall I feel good about my team. I took a leap of faith that Jay Bruce and Cameron Maybin will have breakout years this season (which will either sink or save me).

I had no set desire to focus so much emphasis on pitching, but I felt that Halladay was too good to pass up at 4 and the rest is history.
