Is there anywhere to find winning FAAB bids from NFBC 2008? Just curious if there is a database to see how much some guys went for last year.

Every week's winning FAAB bids are available for viewing on the Message Boards. Do this:

Go to NFBC General Discussion

Look at the top where it says "Show Posts From Last 45 Days"

Pull That down to "Show Posts From Past Year"

Then click on page 21. Look down the list on that page and you'll see Week 2 FAAB Bids thread. All of the winning bids for that week are there.

Keep going backwards to page 20, 19, etc. and you'll see threads for Week 3 FAAB Bids, Week 4 FAAB Bids, etc.

That will show you past winning bids and how much folks were able to get Cliff Lee for and some other key free agents. You'll also see some folks who overbid early and were lost the rest of the year. Enjoy.

Knowing I'm in the minority... I'd still like to have a preference on a bid and not have the largest bid be the deciding factor.

Here's the example-

Middle of the season and my team needs a pitcher. I only want to drop one player.

Tommy Hanson (we'll pretend that nobody had drafted him in March)has been ripping it up in the minors and is being called up. Scherzer-like bids are expected. In the meantime, Jordan Zimmerman has quietly been going about his business and is also getting the call.

I prefer Zimmerman, but only want to bid $50 because of less hype, but my $400 bid for Hanson will override that.

Summarizing, I'd like to see STATS take the bids from top to bottom instead of by largest bid.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
