Satellite auction leagues, or not?

Post by The Mighty Men » Tue Feb 16, 2010 9:48 am

Simple question - will NFBC be offering satellite auction leagues this year, or not? It is February 16, and time is tick, tick, ticking away.....

Greg,

If you offer this, please sign RT Davis and I up for individual teams! I want to hold a spot ASAP. I can do $250 or $500

Thanks!

Yahoo has auction drafts available and I am currently in a mock auction and it is sweet. I would also be interested in a online auction draft.

[/QUOTE]Okay, give us a bit to look at possible dates and if this makes sense. I think we did early March last year. Let us discuss all of this first because we don't want to confuse folks with even more events that we don't have on the site, but at the same time is the demand is there it makes sense. Give us a bit.

Maybe there's interest in a $500 or $1000 league -- I would be. I'd also play in $250.

As I told Jack this morning, our main focus right now is filling up the NFBC Auction Championship leagues. We have eight full leagues now and have partial leagues in five different cities. Our entire focus is filling up as many of those five auction championship leagues as possible to get to our goal of 10 full leagues and 150 paid teams.

That being said, maybe dipping into a satellite auction league might get the auction bug going for some folks and of course it would be a great primer for those who are already signed up for the NFBC Auction Championship league. I hear the ESPN software is finished, but we haven't discussed internally yet if we can use this for our pay leagues. Let me see if that's possible this week.

That being said, last year we did these on March 9 and 10 at $250 per team. We could move these back to Monday, March 15 and Tuesday, March 16 if there's interest. I'm not saying we can do this just yet, but post here if you have an interest. I believe we did all formats last year, Mixed, AL and NL. Again, I'm not saying yes, but let's see what actual interest there is here. Thanks all for your patience and again, let's fill up the Auction Championship FIRST.

I'm interested ... :-þ

Either day would work, but would prefer an event during evening hours (Eastern).

I'd be in one, my partner Trash Man would be in the other, and there are several guys from the first page who said they would be in one of these leagues.
