does clement qualify as a C?

I drafted clement as a C because it said he was- now everyone is saying he is not. What's the truth?

He is NOT a catcher. A 1b.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

He did not play catcher last year in the minors; his most games played there was at 1B. He is 1B only to start 2010 in the NFBC.

That's BS! If you use mock draft central as your place to draft for our league and Clement is listed as a Catcher than something should be done about that! I'm really angry here.

Just as a point of interest, the ADP we got lists Clement as C.

It also lists Chad Guadin as Oakland.

ash: This exact same thing happened to me during my rookie year being involved in the NFBC back in 2006. I drafted Craig Biggio in a mid-season league in the 21st round thinking that he qualified at the position indicated by MDC only to later find out that he did not. The mid-season draft was on a whim and I did not properly prepare and I learned my lesson - never trust anyone's analysis (even position assignments by MDC) other than your own. Though I agree that MDC and NFBC should work together a little better to rectify these types of problems, I also believe that being prepared would remidy the situation and make the other one a non-issue.

Then I check against the NFBC Official List, especially for those players who did not play at least 20 games at any one position.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Yeah tough break with clement. The nfbc web site (and then also somewhere on the messageboards), there's a link for position eligibility for every player. That's what you must use and not MDC's eligibility. Or know that a player is eligible at any position where he played in at least 20 games last year.
