Hopefully those who knew about the rule and respected it get rewarded by the Fantasy Gods.
-Craig where is Fast Money in this thread???? Unless he's a hypocrite he should be tracking down and bashing people who went against the rules here. step up Joe (unless u are a hypocrite)
I don't believe I'm a hypocrite. I started a thread on April 17th of this year asking for a rules clarification. I believe it was asking something very similar to this. the general belief, (yours included Mark) was that this was a legal move within the rules.
Ultimately (next year) I think that the NFBC should just allow pitching changes on Fridays the same way they currently allow hitting changes. That would alleviate all questions.
no. reread that thread you started. nowhere did i say someone should be able to get TWO starts out of using a DL pitcher.
there are two separate issues here:
issue #1 - getting TWO starts by using a DL pitcher from Mon - Thu and then a new pitcher from Fri-Sun. this was abolished last year by Greg. i haven't used this strategy this year because i knew greg abolished it last year. however, we come to find out it's okay to do this year
issue #2 - using your DL pitcher to give yourself a few more days before deciding on what one pitcher to use for Fri-Sun. this was never abolished by Greg and remains a strategy i employ.

AMAZING! We had Buchholz and didn't use the loophole because we assumed that the manual switch will be made.
This is pretty disappointing to see this not enforced. As for saying a "system" couldn't block this, you can make it work in the build of a system, but looks like it was chosen not to. My beef is now with what I view as an inconsistency.
