New York, NY (AP) - Upon the arrival to La Guardia, Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees had an MRI performed on his right shoulder.



During a routine throw to first base in the 4th inning, Rodriguez felt a pop in his shoulder. He stayed is the game. Upon his arrival to New York, a MRI was performed. Intitial reports suggests a labrum tear. The extext of the tear will determine whether Rodriguez will miss 6 weeks up to the entire season.



Doctors remain optimistic due to his range of motion, but his strength is limited.



Alex Rodriguez tied for the major league lead in homer runs with 47.
