why would i join a league? . when u own guys like tejada for a $1 and so on? then u have guys who trade players like that then quit ?? yea thats a real fun league ,,,,,,,,,,,and unlike u and your side kick ,i have never heard of a league where u draft a player and keep him for the next 35 years and not have to give a raise or some sort of contract ....and JR , i know nothing about the game , is this the same guy telling me Tejada has been around for 4 years, maybe u meant he has been hitting 30 and 1000 for the last 4 or so

I believe you are the one that said that you wanted to join because it would be "Easy Money" I was just lookin to put a little money in your pocket. As for the Tejada comment, I said "4 years or so", which means give or take. What was I off by a year, year and a half?

What did you do Squid Boy call Billy Beane to get Tejada's exact numbers. I look forward to the main event and would love to but a little wager on it if you have the balls.

well JR> ofcourse i looked up his years in the league , i dont follow the the life and times of M.Tejada(but like any fantasy player that plays in REAL Leagues) we all know he has been around more then 4 or so years ........id be more then happy to place a wager on it , we either get into the same league or work something out ...BUT money must be left with the nfbc ......

Sounds Good. We will hope we get in the same league, otherwise we just go with the overall standings.

Wow...I'm surprised by the fact your league does not add 5 bucks or more each year to keep a player. Most do.
If you were to invest the first 2 or 3 years drafting one dollar minor leaguers with top potential...and continue to do this...you could almost gaurantee to be a top team for life in that type of structure.
You could have easliy gotten Soriano in the NYY minor leagues...Prior...Tejada...Chavez...Oswalt...Wright...Pujols...Berkman, etc.
Great league if it started now...but to take over a quiters team would be rough...there must have been a reason he quit.

The guy that quit just isn't in to baseball as much as the rest of us. As for the stategy you proposed, there is a guy that does that but he gets carried away. He keeps on taking those $1 rookies to a point where it doesnt help. Some of those guys you named Soriano,Prior, and Tejada are under $5. The fact that we do not have a waiver wire balances it out a bit. At the all star game we get together and have a mini draft.1 player each. It is a good way of getting everyone together.

Why? Because a handful of guys, including( A Squid and a Lizzard) out of 30 million Fantasy Sports Players think there should be contracts in keeper leagues. And, Yes Squidboy, there are 30 million Fantasy Sports Players.

Contracts prevents leagues like yours , where your looking to 3 peat, and u cant figure out if u should keep a $1 tejada, an $8 santana , a $1 Vlad..............and so on ........If u lose that league u better hide your ears from this board

ANY keeper league that doesn't incorporate annual salary increases is a JOKE. Simple one.
EVERY keeper league i've ever played and heard of (before yours that is) had salary increases.
If I was brash, I'd say you're in the minority and you are a sheep. Thanks for the donation this year.

The $17,000 in winnings over the past 2 years doesn't seem like a joke to me.If I did't have the keepers that I have I would probably be bringing up the idea of contracts up at our next meeting. I would be a fool to do that now! As for the NFBC, we will see who will be donating.

You want to throw stones? The $17,000 is actually the money your wife gave me to show her what it is like to be with a real man!

I think this whole thing is getting out of hand. Some how you turned an innocent post into a pissing match. I was having fun with you until your last post. You chose to take it to another level.

OK JR , ill try to explain that one again to u ......u stated u came up with 17,000 in winnings ..i came back and said u made that at your dads 5 and dime ...meaning you and your league sound like a bunch of 15 yr old kids .that would be the fact u still work for your dad ..........not insulting your dad, as a matter of fact that would mean ur dad owns his own biz. i gave him credit if anything .....LOL you are going to be easy u know u dont start of with tejada and santana in the NFBC , i hope they told u that
