If we're going to auction/draft online then I am game. I won't be going to the NFBC in Vegas this year. It'll either by CHI or NY.. or not at all.

We need one more NFBC owner for this 100%+(?) payout league.

I've been neglectful in my salesmanship of late with 11 of 12 spots filled, so its time to ramp it up. How about a top 6 (yes 6) list of reasons why you should join us in the first year's Cannonball Run league:

6. You can tell everyone you competed in the Cannonball Run --- don't know what that is? do a google search.

5. The winner's payouts should be around 100%, but could and should end up even higher! Go ahead, try to find another league that offers that.

4. We're all NFBC guys. Enough said.

3. Make friends with a group of owners that have expertise in wide-ranging fields, from health to the law, education, technology, wine and finance.

2. Free stock picks from the guy that turned down a job opportunity which then went to the infamous Henry Blodget.

1. Think you're good? Here's your chance to beat the #1 lifetime player in the NFBC, which is arguably equivalent to the #1 player in the world.

Wish I could -- sounds like a lot of fun. Three years ago, you would have had me at hello. Now, it's just too much of a time commitment.

What couldn't get yourself to go on tv and pump up a stock and then turn around and send e-mails to your fellow employees advising them to get their customers out the stock?

[/QUOTE]Actually KOQ, almost no one had an internet policy back then, most didn't even have the internet, and I don't think I was playing fantasy bsbl yet. (It was actually pre-Blodget, when they ended up hiring Cohen who they then dumped for Blodget).

The interest is trickling in but no one has pulled the trigger - anyone decisive out there?

Guys, given that we are running thin on time, I have posted a notice about the opening at Baseball HQ and at Mastersball to get our last owner.

There will be 2 open spots for next season in this league. We'll fill these spots next spring, but if someone is interested in taking over a team now to try and position themselves for next season, please contact me at [email protected].

A $500 deposit against next season's entry fee will give you control of the team now.

The league is made up of some of the best and most frequent NFBC players and msg board posters. An excellent group which should keep this league going for a long time. We're looking for dedicated keeper-league owners.
