Now I turn my attention to the weather and start praying for rain so that these stats don't count. Of course, I really need the two Ks he managed thus far, so there is no good solution for me. Maybe he'll toss a CG, 15K "gem"?
Further update....Raskol wrote:Update: 5 straight Ks. Go figure.
We have live scoring?!?NorCalAtlFan wrote:but if it's not in live scoring, did it really happen?
Rangers starter Colby Lewis today became the first pitcher to ever allow at least five homers and also strike out at least 10 hitters in a start. In addition, he became the second pitcher, joining the Rangers Charlie Hough (who did it in 1989) to allow all five of his hits in a game to be homers while pitching at least 6 IP.
In that game, Hough also had the second most (now behind Lewis) K's (9) for any pitcher ever to give up 5+ dingers in a game. He threw 139 pitches over 7.2 innings. and took the loss against CLE 7-3. Homering that day for the Indians were Andy Allanson, Pete O'Brien, and 3 by Joe Carter.Hells Satans wrote:Rangers starter Colby Lewis today became the first pitcher to ever allow at least five homers and also strike out at least 10 hitters in a start.
