First off, great meeting you guys in NY 3, where our proctor was incredibly knowledgeable and professional... in addition to recognizing and identifying each player as their names were told to him (from memory, through 30 rounds) he was discreet in exactly the fashion previously described... he would lower his voice and repeat the pick to each of our league's tables;
Second, you baseball guys are NUTS! As a football guy I've been with the NFFC since its inception and thought that drafting 14 teams over 18 rounds was tough (and thin) and time consuming... but 15 teams at 30 rounds with all this 5x5, multi-positional, variable, flex crap? You guys are INSANE! I have a new respect for you baseball people and the nuance that goes into putting together a competitive lineup;
Third, we need more than two MVPSports girls next time, and preferably throw in some brunettes and red heads to go with the blondes;
Fourth, I agree about the guy calling out names for NY2: way too loud;
Fifth, many thanks and congratulations to Greg, Tom and the NFBC crew for another excellent experience with a national fantasy contest... you guys are first class!
Sixth, I can proudly say that I was responsible for one pick in my first-ever baseball draft: deep into the 14th round of NY3 my partner (the brains of the outfit) grudgingly allowed me to throw out the one baseball player whose name I recognized from the whole afternoon. "ROGER CLEMENS," I bellowed, and felt strong saying it... until I heard that he's thinking of hanging them up. I'm not sure if this makes me Rocket Man or Rain Man but at least I've got something to hang my hat on until September!
