I get it Guys, I do. To be totally honest, I'm not a huge fan of the 12-team format when compared to the 15-teamers either. We all know those who "claim" that the 15-teamers are a tougher "draft" while the 12-teamers are tougher "in-season management" are just trying to make themselves feel better and put the 12-team format on a similar plane of difficulty as the 15-team. We all know it's just rhetoric. Any format that you can find a Mike Trout or Bryan Harper on the waiver wire week 5 is not a tougher in-season management.

It allows for an easier recovery from a bad draft and/or bad in-season decisions prior and therefore levels the playing field. The 15-teamers are the true test of a Champion. You pay for your mistakes there. (Sorry Joe, just the way I see it

).
Still, take a look at the ROI. Yes, the Main Event is the MAIN EVENT. However, there you will be trying to win an Overall Championship against the 400+ best fantasy players in the world. The 12-team main event (yes, I purposely used lower case), will have nowhere near that many entries, yet the same Grand Prize. And while the entry fee was raised, it's still $100 less than the Main, has a similar 1st place league prize and the exact same Overall prize. And instead of 400 of the best fantasy players in the world, you'll be playing against 200 graduates of the Online Championships who couldn't hack the 15-teamers (again, sorry Joe

).
Let's also face it. As Massotto would say it, we're the East Coast, we're NYC. We are the best drafters in the world. The winner of this league is almost assuredly going to win the Overall. It's pretty much a given as I see it.
As Ken stated so eloquently, why keep banging your head against the best in the hardest format (Supers included in this statement Jason) when such an easy ROI is readily available for the taking.
PS....And if Massotto joins this league, the ROI even grows. A one out of eleven shot at the league and likely $100K Overall. You don't get a much better ROI than that. (By the way Ken, don't think I haven't heard the rumors of Massotto having some Spearmint Rhino video on Juprinka, you, some of the others in the MtM that he "used" to help him take down that league.

)
PSS....Yeah Roy, another year for me of failing to cut down on my leagues. Addiction's a bitch. Looking forward to the challenge of the NYC Auction Super. No doubt an intimidating task. However, I did take down the Ultimate Auction last year in Vegas, so I figured maybe I'm ready for the Major Leagues as Gekko put it. See both you and Ken at First Pitch in a couple weeks.
