Holy shit!!! I didn't even know about the Pujols comparison. My oh my. I mean north side of 30 homers and a .300 average for 10-plus years! Wow! Since everyone's dollar amounts differ at this stage of the game, I wouldn't disagree with owners putting out a "max bid". A "max bid" is leaving your self with roughly $2 a week for the remainder of the season in order for you to still be able to make moves. So, with 19 FAAB weeks remaining after this week, I could see owners spending all but $38 of their remaining FAAB. In a full year of AAA last year, Franco hit .257 and slugged .428 and he was called up to one of the worst offenses in baseball.
MLB.com ranked him the #55 prospect in the minors this season.
Personally I hope he does well. I just wouldn't be in a rush to spend a lot of $$$ on him.
