Not really Mark. You have great insights that are fun to read, but when you insult so many people with posts like this, you sell yourself short. no, no. i'm not insulting anyone. i simply report the #'s and draw my own conclusions.
i can only hope the data evens out over the course of the rest of the season.
here's a question for you wayne...no ducking...do you think all leagues have the same exact amount of talented owners in them? Yes or No? [/QUOTE]No ducking? I do not know nor does anyone else. Look, I have nothing to gain from being "generous" with any of my assessments. I do this for fun, but it has also been my passion for 20+ years. I darn sure am not doing it for the money, obviously. What I can say is I have done this six times and in three of the four areas the NFBC has drafted (Vegas twice, Chicago, Florida three times). Every year each league I have been in has (honestly, no ducking) had the likes of Clum, or Diaz, or Stermon, or Lord, or Childs, or Cassevetes, or McLean, or Zola, or, or, or. Each year and in each place each player was ready (especially after the first year), made good picks for a reason, was committed and was knowledgable. You cannot ask for more than that and to call out entire cities or entire leagues is just not fair, in my OPINION.
Are some better players than others? Yes. But year in and year out, will those same players have good years and bad years, no matter what city they draft in or league they are in? Yes. You know that too as you have been doing this long enough to have had the highs and lows.
But as to the leagues as a whole in all the cities I have been in, I can honestly say they have all been top competition. If I go to Chicago, I go for the stuffed pizza, not because of some erroneous assumption that some magnet draws lesser players.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
