yet another auction question

Please forgive if this has already been explained but.....

When a player is nominated, does the nominator also state an opening price? For example, do I say: "Sammy Sosa, three dollars"? and thus if no one else bids I get him at $3? Thanks!

Yes, you table the player and an opening bid.

Yes Hank we go around the room in the order of nominating players and that player throws out the opening bid. After that, it's a free for all as far as shouting out the next bid and the auctioneer determines who got it in first. So it may go, "Sammy Sosa for $3", then "$10, $11...$15, $16, $17...." now some pauses and we'll see where it lands. AFter he's sold, then the next person in order throws out the next player with an opening bid.

It's a lot of fun and it actually becomes more organized than disorganized.

It's a lot of fun and it actually becomes more organized than disorganized. It becomes organized because everyone has run out of money except Todd Zola. We call out a name and than Todd buys them.

Yep pretty organized than.
